Review Policy

Please feel free to contact me if you would like me to review your book. I accept ARCs, proofs or finished copies from authors, agents and publishers, as long as they are physical copies and not ebooks (as I have no way of reading e-copies!). I cannot guarantee that I will accept your request, as this will depend on whether I am interested in the book and the amount of time I have available.

I currently do not accept requests for self published novels.

Inquires can be emailed to, and it would be appreciated if the following could be included:

  • Title of the book
  • Author
  • Series (where applicable)*
  • Short synopsis
  • Publication date
  • Publishing house and imprint (where applicable)
  • Any other relevant information you wish me to know

I aim to respond within 2 days, and reserve the right to decline any requests. I try to balance reading for reviews with personal reading choices, so cannot guarantee a time frame within which the review will be posted. If there is a specific date you would like a review published by, please let me know in the request email.

I am also open to requests for blog tours, giveaways, interviews, guest posts etc.

*If the book is part of a series, I am less likely to accept if the book is a follow up, unless I have already started the series. However, this will depend on the amount of time I have available, so feel free to inquire regardless.

Genres I am interested in

I mainly read children’s fiction (from early reader up to YA) but will also consider adult fiction titles that would also work well for a YA audience. I like to read a range of genres and themes, including fantasy/sci-fi, contemporary, dystopia, historical fiction, magical realism and LGBTQ+.

I will not review the following: non-fiction, biography/autobiography/memoir, religion/spirituality, erotica, or self-help.

If a theme/genre isn’t mentioned above, please contact me for consideration.

The review itself

My reviews will always be honest and fair. I tend not to review books I didn’t enjoy (I may post a mini review), and will not review a book if I didn’t finish it. If either of those are the case, I will email to let you know why a review hasn’t appeared on my blog. I will never carelessly insult or attack a book or author – if I don’t like a book, I will respectfully explain why.

In the review, I will state:

  • Book title and author (in the title of the post)
  • Publication date (if pre-pub)
  • Star rating
  • My own photo of the book
  • Synopsis in my own words (I try my hardest to make them spoiler free!)
  • What I enjoyed or disliked/who I would recommend it for

In the interest of transparency and honesty, I will also state that I received a copy for review.

If there is anything not mentioned above that you would like me to include in a review, please let me know in the request email.

The review will be cross posted to Goodreads, and will also be linked to on my twitter and instagram account.

Thank you for taking an interest in my blog, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
